Our sense of purpose begins with this vision, rooted in the highest possible notion of giving young people the chance to flourish to reach their full potential. All that we do flows from this vision, underpinned by our core values of aspiration, resilience, respect and kindness.
Our pupils join St Michael’s at a crucial stage of transition from childhood to early adulthood. We support them through this journey in four key ways.

Firstly, by inspiring them to aim high in all areas of schooling and personal development (We aim to be the best we can be and do things to the best of our ability).

Secondly, we look to build resilience to address challenges of all types (We keep going when times are tough, we learn from our mistakes and we bounce back. We meet the challenge together when things are hard).

Thirdly, we build mutual respect (We treat others and the environment with care because we value them. We value that we are all different, unique individuals made in God's image).

Lastly, we demonstrate kindness in our actions (We actively choose to do and say things to build each other up. If you have to be anything in life, be kind).
Pupils study a rich curriculum, accessing subject specialist teachers and facilities from Year 5, and enjoy a wide range of extracurricular clubs and experiences during their time with us. We value positive links with parents and the local community and the role that this plays in offering and maintaining high expectations for our pupils.
