Arbor is the information management system used at St Michael's Middle School, as well as all the other Initio Learning Trust schools. It is used to store and manage the information we hold and process about our children and colleagues.

When your child is registered at St Michael's Middle School, you will receive a welcome email to enable you to set up an account for our Arbor Parent Portal. If you do not receive this, please contact the school office, and a new email link will be sent to you. (Please check your junk/spam email and, if necessary, add us to your safe senders list).

The system enables parents/carers to interact with our school. The aim is that Arbor will provide better communication between home and school with a more streamlined approach to managing communication, bookings, payments, clubs and trips, as everything is available on one system.

The Arbor system offers a range of features, including being able to view information about your child(ren) and also enables you to send us updates to your personal information, such as changes to your address, telephone numbers or email addresses. Please check the information held and amend/update as required. Contact details are particularly important. Also, please add St Michael's Middle School to your safe senders list on your email account to prevent communications going into your junk/spam folder.

Update for June 2026 - FAQ about Demerits in Arbor (Link below)

From June 1st 2026, in your Arbor account, you will be able to see demerits that have been issued to your child. From September, we will also use it to notify you of merits. We currently still use the Epraise system for this.
