We started this morning by heading to the town of Bayeux to visit the street market. The pupils enjoyed purchasing lots of bits and pieces to bring back to show you on Friday. We then went to the world-famous Bayeux tapestry where we learnt all about the Norman invasion of England. We had enough time to visit the impressive Bayeux Cathedral before heading onto the USA war cemetery at Omaha beach. This was a very moving experience and really showed the pupils the scale of losses in the war. We are now back at the Chateau having some free time after our fish and chips for dinner.
