St Michael’s Celebrate National Girls Football Week! – (Monday 10th October – Sunday 16th)
During girls football week St Michael's hosted our very own football festival on Tuesday 11th October. Nine Year 5 & 6 school teams from the local area joined us to celebrate a wonderful afternoon of girl’s football.
With approximately 90 girls getting involved, many of which had never played in a competitive football match before, it was a fantastic opportunity to experience lots of match play for all abilities. All the girls involved were a credit to their school with some superb match play and exemplary sportsmanship.
I would also like to say a huge thank you to the five girls from year 7 and 8 who not only did a superb job refereeing but also coaching and supporting the young players on and off the pitch!
A brilliant afternoon was had by all and we look forward to hosting the girls Under 11 PEDSSA cup on Tuesday 8th November.
