Save the Children Parade

For the second year, St. Michael's Middle School was delighted to participate in the annual Wimborne Save the Children parade. Pupils and staff came together to take our Caribbean Steel Band on tour through the streets on the back of a large lorry.

The band played a range of popular hits and Christmas music during the two-hour parade whilst staff members danced beside the buses (and sometimes into local shops and bars) with buckets to help collect money towards this very valuable charitable cause. The crowd was very enthusiastic as the sound of the drums echoed off the buildings along the route.

A big thank you to all of the staff in the music department for organising our participation, decorating the float and walking the route and also to Phil Bascombe Transport Ltd. for supplying and driving the lorry.
