St Michael's Middle School

Parent-Teacher Association

YOU'RE INVITED!         10th October 7:00pm Venue: St. Michael’s Staff Room

I would like to invite parents to our first PTA Meeting of this school year. We will be discussing Fireworks night, AGM and a small amount of other business. Our meetings tend to take less than 90 minutes, so I hope you can spare the time to get more familiar with the School, the PTA and our Headteacher, as well as help with the fun, camaraderie and fundraising we do to make my child and yours time at school a happier and more fulfilled one.

Please let me know via our facebook group or email if you have any questions:

The Association is a friendly and dedicated group of mums and dads who work hard to ensure that the children get the best from their time at school.

Our main aim is to raise enough money to get those extra, cherry on the top, things that can make all the difference to your child’s time in St Michael’s – in the past we have used this money not only to support the school’s educational curriculum but to expand it with things like climbing walls, archery equipment, Forest School equipment, new laptops – the list is long and varied! We also help the school with things like keeping the minibuses running and replacing old equipment.

But supplying the funds for this equipment is only part of our job, the way we raise this money is as much about the children as the spending of it is. By putting on events such as our locally renowned Fireworks Evening, Christmas and Summer Fayres and School Discos we aim to give St Michael’s students and their families experiences which will be remembered well beyond their four years at the school.

As every penny we raise goes back into the school in equipment and experiences, the more we raise, the better the school gets. So we see it as a win-win situation for everyone – you get some awesome events and we raise the money to make St Michael’s even better!

We are always looking for new members and new ideas to keep the activities innovative so if you fancy getting involved, even just to help out occasionally, get in contact with us either via our email.
