Key Information

Applications for places at St. Michael's Middle School is administered by the Dorset Council School Admissions Service.

Please note that applications for entry into Year 5 for September 2026 must be submitted by midnight on Thursday 15th January 2026. Applications should be made through the Dorset Council Middle School Application Website. It is important that you do not miss this date or your application will only be processed after all on-time applications have been considered. You will be notified of the outcome on 16th April 2025 if you applied by the 15th January or on 14th May if the application was submitted late.

For applications to enter Year 7 in September 2026, applications need to be submitted by 31st October 2025. The application needs to be made through the Dorset Council Secondary School Application Website. You will be notified of the outcome of your application on 2nd March 2026 if you applied by 1st November 2025 or on 30th March 2026 if your application was received between 1st November 2025 and 2nd March 2026. For any applications made after the 2nd March 2026, you will be notified from June onwards.

Welcome to our School

We are lucky to be situated in spacious grounds, surrounded on three sides by woodland. We have large outdoor playground areas, including a separate playground for Year 5 pupils, alongside the spacious playing fields. The video below shows drone footage of the school grounds.
