St Michael's Middle School

Our Eco Club Win Video Competition

Our Eco Club have just won Litter Free Dorset’s competition to produce a film illustrating the journey of a piece of litter to the sea.

We decided to focus on a plastic bottle, commencing its journey from our School.  Every member of Eco Club got involved with the planning and producing our film. Some pupils participated with the initial sketch of God and his angels looking down at the World despairing at what humans have done to it. Other pupils took part in filming on the School site and Wimborne town centre illustrating the bottle’s journey down and into the river. After a short section at Canford weir, the final part of the journey was filmed at Mudeford Quay with the plastic bottle passing out of the Stour and into the sea. Eco Club members close the film reading their especially composed poem.  Ollie brilliantly edited it all together to create our award winning file which you can view here.

A great big thank you to everyone who helped and WELL DONE ECO CLUB
